About the Opportunity:

Westover has need for a VBS Director. This is a seasonal part-time position (typically 20 hours/week; 600 hours total) that will be from January–July 2023.

Responsibilities Include:

Choosing the VBS curriculum

• The VBS Director will research curriculum options and choose the curriculum Westover will use for VBS in 2023.

Overseeing major logistics of VBS

• Organizing the VBS rotation schedule
• Overseeing student registrations
• Organizing the students into groups
• Overseeing preparations leading up to VBS

Recruiting/equipping the VBS Team

• Recruiting VBS leaders (game leaders, craft leaders, teachers, etc.)
• Delegating specific responsibilities to the leadership team
• Recruiting VBS team members (with the help of the Leadership Team)

Leading VBS trainings

• Casting vision for VBS
• Teaching all team members the VBS curriculum
• Communicating the rotation schedules, team structure, specific responsibilities, etc.

Overseeing the VBS budget

• Ordering VBS supplies
• Investing in team appreciation
• Documenting expenses
