Christmas Outreach Opportunities

The Christmas season provides a perfect opportunity to be the church scattered, serving in our community, tangibly demonstrating the love of Christ. Below are a number of outreach opportunities available to us this year!

Operation Christmas Child (O.C.C.)

Pack a Box! Shoeboxes and instructions are available for pickup at the Local Missions Wall. There, you will also find an incredible team of volunteers ready and willing to answer any questions you may have or assist you, your friends, or family in getting involved.

Unable to grab a shoebox at the Local Wall? Maybe you just prefer the digital realm. You can still participate by clicking HERE and building a shoebox online!

Serve during National Collection Week (November 18-25)! In just a few weeks, our church campus will become a central hub for O.C.C. collection. We anticipate over 20,000 shoeboxes to be collected, boxed in crates, and loaded into trucks right here in our parking lot. Needless to say, WE NEED LOTS OF HANDS to make this happen! You can sign-up to help with National Collection Week by clicking HERE!

Visit an O.C.C. processing center in Boone or Charlotte! Want to see behind the scenes and be a part of the journey shoeboxes take? You can sign-up to volunteer at an O.C.C. processing center, getting an in-depth look at all the behind-the-scenes logistics involved in making Operation Christmas Child a reality! *More information to come*

Christmas Blessings

You can do this as an individual or join together with others. Visits can be anything from delivering a Christmas treat to singing Christmas carols. We encourage you to be as creative as you are able!

Click HERE to register by Dec. 8th (only ONE registration needed per group), and we will provide you with the names and addresses of folks you can bless this holiday season.

Christmas Eve Outreach

Because of Christ we GO! This Christmas Eve, Westover has a unique opportunity to serve the communities around us.

As you leave our services, there will be baskets of goodies you and your family can deliver to those who are working on Christmas Eve. This includes fire stations, police stations, nursing homes, and more! We want to take this opportunity to be a blessing and show our appreciation to the men and women who continue to serve us as most of us return to our cozy homes.

We hope you will participate in this a simple, yet tangible, act of being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.
