Discipleship Pastor
JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary role of the Discipleship Pastor is to assist the Lead Pastor in carrying out Westover Church's mission: To develop mature followers of Jesus Christ. The Discipleship Pastor will support the church's vision to love God, love people, and make disciples, helping Westover families grow in their faith in a manner that brings glory to God.

SPECIFICS

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Ministry Experience: At least 3-5 years of NexGen, Family, or Adult Education pastor ministry experience.
- Education Experience: At least an MDiv from an accredited seminary or master's degree/College.
- *Experience in leading NexGen or Leading is necessary.
- Experience with basic computer hardware and software tools (i.e.MS Office suite).
- Must have experienced salvation through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Exhibit a godly example, living a life of honesty, integrity, and transparency worthy of the gospel, consistently following, and growing in relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Exhibit spiritual sensitivity, humility, graciousness, and flexibility.
- A fervent desire to serve.
- Be or become a member of Westover Church.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Take initiative in leadership roles as a self-starter.
- Recruit, teach, train, support spiritually, and develop within the assigned ministry areas, develop ministry team visions, values, strategies, and plans through the Vision, and Mission of Westover Church, and oversee specific aspects of each assigned ministry area.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with church family and staff.
- Foster a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
- Discern needs and respond appropriately, sensitively, and proactively.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Supervise assigned areas/programs vital to Westover Church's purpose and ministry.
- Manage employees and volunteers effectively.
- Develop and operate within an annual budget.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate a passion for missions and ministry excellence.
- Speak comfortably in front of large groups.
- Exhibit excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Work in harmony with and under the direction of the Lead Pastor.
- Serve as a pastor/spiritual leader in accordance with Scriptural qualifications, Staff Covenant, and guidelines.
- Advance the Kingdom of God through the visions, values, strategies, and plans of Westover Church.
- Oversee and develop Westover’s Children’s Ministry, Middle School Ministry, and High School Ministry in alignment with the overall church’s mission and vision.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-marital, marriage, and family counseling as coordinated among the pastoral staff.
- Participate fully in pastoral staff meetings and one-on-one meetings under the direction of the Lead Pastor.
- Recruit, teach, train, support spiritually, and develop within assigned ministry areas.
- Prepare and manage an annual budget for each ministry area.
- Participate in Leadership Team meetings, retreats, and workdays as requested.
- Participate in an annual performance.
- Assist the Lead Pastor in the overall programming of the church, aid in special projects, and implement specific assignments related to general pastoral activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.

Childcare Worker
About the Opportunity:
Westover KidsCare provides Christ-focused care for children for Tuesday and Wednesday morning women's programming as well as special events at the church (worship nights, volunteer trainings, holiday services, etc.) We are looking for a few individuals to assist in providing care for our attendees’ children for all of these times.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Type: Part Time
Westover KidsCare provides Christ-focused care for children for Tuesday and Wednesday morning women's programming as well as special events at the church (worship nights, volunteer trainings, holiday services, etc.) We are looking for a few individuals to assist in providing care for our attendees’ children for all of these times.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attention to detail, adherence to child safety guidelines established by Westover Church
- Ability to complete training as provided by Westover's KidsCare Coordinator
- Timeliness & dependability in reporting for scheduled shifts
- At least 18 years of age, authorized to work in the US
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Access to a computer, for purposes of accessing payroll records & receiving staff updates
- Flexibility in scheduling, as it is based on need (weekly hours may fluctuate and are not a “guarantee”)

Video Content Specialist
Scope
The Video Content Specialist is responsible for leading Westover’s video creation, production, and distribution efforts through content that represents and promotes the ministry areas of Westover Church. This role will collaborate with ministry leaders to craft compelling video content that engages, informs, and inspires the Westover body. This position will reinforce the purpose, vision, and discipleship pathway of Westover Church through high-quality, dynamic, and creative video content. The Video Content Specialist will work as an integral part of Westover’s Communications Team, should expect a flexible schedule, and is supported by the Missional Life Pastor.
(Please note: This position IS NOT remote and optional travel possible.)
Content Strategy
Collaborate with Westover’s Communication & Creative Media Directors to brainstorm and execute high-quality, dynamic, and creative video content to be utilized in communication (in-service, social media, email etc.).
Collaborate with Westover’s Communications Director and ministry leaders to create a schedule for video content that supports the promotional needs of Westover ministry events.
Available to assist Westover’s Lead Pastor, Missional Life Pastor, and Communications Department for the purposes of supporting special projects (church-wide series and/or church-wide campaigns).
Content Creation
Work with Westover’s Communication & Creative Media Directors to brainstorm and execute creative ideas for video content & stories. This includes:
Work with the Communications Director to plan and execute the video needs/requests of the Lead Pastor (and other pastors/ministry leaders). This includes:
Plan, shoot, and edit video content produced for the various avenues of Westover communication that portrays the body-life of the church across all its ministry areas.
Stay up-to-date with current video trends, church media best practices, and visual storytelling techniques to ensure that content is engaging, creative, and high-quality.
Content Creation
Meet regularly / collaborate with the Communications Team for the purpose of providing input on decisions, updates, and both giving and receiving feedback.
Attend Westover meetings, as expected of all staff members at Westover Church.
Note: Due to the nature and requirements of this position, Westover’s Video Content Specialist should be willing to pursue membership at Westover Church and is expected to be a participant in the life of the church.
