Worship Pastor
Scope
The Worship Pastor is responsible for oversight of the Worship team as well as steering the vision for Worship ministries within Westover Church. The Worship Pastor will support the members of the worship team and provide direct oversight for the Westover Audio Visual team. The Worship Pastor is supported by Lead Pastor Wilson.

Strategic/Vision/Leadership - 65%
  • Lead Worship for weekend services (3-4x a month)
  • Oversee and drive the design, development, and execution of Sunday AM services and other Special Events along with the Program Director, Choir, Dance, and other directors and coordinators of Westover's Worship Ministry
  • Creative collaboration with teaching pastors to develop themes for message series and seasonal events, and coordinate services using the Planning Center with other service participants.
  • Research elements of songs, scripture, prayers, and media pieces for Sunday services; assist in musical arrangement, composition/song writing, and manage song collection to ensure the Worship Ministry teaches and equips the church with the gospel, essential teachings of God, and proper response of His people.
  • Oversee inter-ministry efforts to equip families for worship in the home, to promote multigenerational worship as a congregation.
  • Oversee Worship Ministries' budget and recommend capital expenses.
Team Development — 20%
  • Management of Worship Ministries department personnel (Directors/Associates/other coordinators)
  • Provide leadership for weekly program meetings, event planning, and annual team building retreats.
  • Musical development and recruitment of worship leaders, bands, choir/vocal and instrumentalists
  • Oversee and collaborate with WAV technical management and guest artist relations, providing creative direction and artistic/technical feedback.
  • Encourage and equip for volunteer recruitment.
Pastoral Responsibilities 15%
  • Build shepherding relationships & function as a spiritual leader with Westover's worship teams, volunteers, and department staff.
  • Shepherd the congregation through the implementation of the vision for Worship ministries.
Director of Communications
Overview
The Communications Director is responsible for leading (developing, implementing, and overseeing) all outward-facing communications strategies, aiding in the advancement of Westover’s purpose and vision. This includes strategizing and managing social media platforms, communication and content avenues, branding and marketing, etc. The Communications Director is supported by the Missional Life Pastor
 
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Position Type: Full-Time / Salary 
Reports to: Missional Life Pastor


Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development (40%): 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the church’s purpose and vision. 
  • Remain current with tools, technology, and methodology to ensure best practices are utilized for Westover’s communication efforts. 
  • Maintain and evolve the church’s visual and verbal brand across all communication avenues. 
  • Collaborate with ministry areas to best position and promote their events and programming. 
Content Management (30%): 
  • Manage the overall workflow of Westover’s Communications Department, setting and maintaining expectations and deadlines. 
  • Oversea maintenance of ‘westoverchurch.com’, ensuring content is current, user-friendly, and engaging. 
  • Manage all social media platforms, ensuring content is current, relevant, and engaging (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)  
  • Maintain a pulse across ministry areas ensuring content published by/from Westover is consistent in brand and messaging 
Administration (30%): 
  • Write, edit, and design, or manage the processes of, print and digital promotional materials 
  • Track engagement metrics and adjust strategies accordingly. 
  • Oversee church-wide email communication and Sunday morning stage communication. 
  • Provide oversight of Westover’s online forms. 
Working Environment
  • Given the nature of the Communications Director position at Westover, the individual occupying this role is expected to be present on Sunday mornings. 
  • The planned work week for this position is Sunday thru Thursday. 
  • Attend all regular staff functions and meetings relevant to a director-level position at Westover. 
  • Work in collaboration with / support any additional individuals hired into the Communications Department. 
  • Take a ½-day every month to focus on deepening your walk with the Lord. 
Qualifications
Personal:
  • Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. 
  • Aligned with the purpose and vision of Westover Church. 
  • Willing to pursue membership at Westover Church, placing oneself under the shepherding care and leadership of the Elders.  
  • Aligned with Westover’s Relational Covenant 
Professional: 
  • Proven experience in communications and/or marketing. 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills. 
  • Ability to lead, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

2026 Summer Internships
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Internships at a Glance
Summers are a great opportunity to grow your ministry experience at Westover Church! We invite current college students to gain valuable insight into ministry operations, contribute to the furthering of The Gospel & serve the community. Summer 2026 provides the opportunity to minister in ways that carry impact while also keeping safety a top priority.
Summer programming typically consists of things like regularly scheduled programming, special events, gatherings, camps & trips with our participants. However, the work of the ministry may look like next summer, Westover Church is committed to serving others and helping our interns grow in their walks with The Lord! As an intern, you will play a key role in helping the ministry areas plan, prepare, and execute the ministry calendar with excellence!

We are offering internships in several different ministries:
  • Westover Kids (birth-5th grade)
  • Middle School (Impact)
  • High School (Fuse)
  • On the application, please designate Westover Kids, Impact, and Fuse.
There will be specific projects, events & responsibilities for each of these areas. We do ask that applicants prayerfully consider this process and limit their application to a maximum of two ministry areas; we seek to match you not just with a position to fill your summer, but one that complements where The Lord is leading & your passions or gifts! REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
  • At least 18 years of age, authorized to work in the U.S.
  • One year of college completed, with intent to enroll in Fall 2026.
  • Reliable transportation to work.
  • Ability to work within the schedule of each ministry area as needed.
  • Intermediate/Advanced level with Microsoft Office products
  • Acceptable background check results post-job offers.
  • Able to work from late May to early August.

Childcare Worker
About the Opportunity:
Westover KidsCare provides Christ-focused care for children for Tuesday and Wednesday morning women's programming as well as special events at the church (worship nights, volunteer trainings, holiday services, etc.)  We are looking for a few individuals to assist in providing care for our attendees’ children for all of these times.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Attention to detail, adherence to child safety guidelines established by Westover Church
  • Ability to complete training as provided by Westover's KidsCare Coordinator
  • Timeliness & dependability in reporting for scheduled shifts
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age, authorized to work in the US
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Access to a computer, for purposes of accessing payroll records & receiving staff updates
  • Flexibility in scheduling, as it is based on need (weekly hours may fluctuate and are not a “guarantee”)
