FALL 2021 BIBLE STUDIES

Check out the variety of studies and formats available for this fall.

Zechariah

Wednesdays starting September 22 | 9:30am | In-person only

We will study an incredible book of the Bible that contains more prophecies about the first and second comings of Jesus Christ than any of the other Old Testament prophets, except Isaiah.

  • What will happen on the day when the Lord is king over all the earth?

  • There is a future time of restoration coming for the righteous. Are you ready for that day?

In this book you will find encouragement and challenge, as well as a vision of the past, present, and future that will nourish your faith and excite your intellect.

We will use the NASB translation for this study. Two versions of this study are available: “In and Out” and “Precept Upon Precept. The "In and Out" study generally has fewer study questions each day and often provides less information for the student. The "Precept Upon Precept" format invites the student to dig deeper into the Scripture with more questions and provides more information.

Jude: Contending for the Faith in Today's Culture (Wednesday Morning Option)

Wednesdays starting September 22 | 9:30am | In-person and Zoom options available

While often overlooked, the Book of Jude remains as relevant today as the time it was written. God has commanded His beloved church to do the necessary work of contending for the faith in a world of unbelief, and as we do, He will keep us from falling into the same deception. In this seven-session study from Jackie Hill Perry, dive into themes of being called, loved, and kept, and learn how to point others to Jesus in grace and truth. We serve others well when we share the whole gospel with them, not just the parts deemed attractive by our culture.

In this eight-week study, Anne Graham Lotz draws on her rich biblical knowledge as well as her personal story—including her recent cancer diagnosis—to help us understand that the Holy Spirit is not a magic genie, a flame of fire, a force, or a vague feeling. You may know something about God and something about Jesus, but what do you know about the Holy Spirit? Discover how to better love and rely on the Person of the Holy Spirit—and embrace how much He loves you.

Establish Your Heart

Gathering Week: Beginning September 14; Study of Content: September 20 - October 25 | Online Study via Facebook

Get to know the heart and message of James in this six-week study, Establish Your Heart. After a brief look at the history of James and his primary audience, we’ll take our time in each chapter, section by section, looking at the wide angle and the fine-tooth comb angle of James’ message. This study places a lot of emphasis on how the Holy Spirit is speaking directly into your life through this faith-strengthening book. It’s designed for five days of study each week. You can’t read the book of James and not feel ready to get to work in the name of Jesus. It’s a great reminder and encouragement to believers, in any stage of your faith walk.
