Overview

We serve and live on mission as an act of worship in love to God who has gone and continues to go before us. We see this brightly in the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. This compels us to love in the way Christ loved us.

OPPORTUNITIES AT WESTOVER TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY

CREATION STEWARDS will be participating in Greensboro Beautiful's Big Sweep on Saturday, September 26. We will be cleaning up litter in Latham Park and along the stream.  Interested? Contact localmissions

A SIMPLE GESTURE FOOD COLLECTION Pick up bags to fill on Sunday mornings or anytime during office hours at the front desk. Collection Date: October 11. Contact localmissions

GRAB-AND-GO MEAL DISTRIBUTION |  Westover is partnering with several Greensboro non-profits to help distribute healthy grab-and-go meals on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Bethany Fellowship. Volunteers needed! Sign up here to serve.

SENIOR WHEELS |  Partnering with Senior Resources of Guilford to provide transporation, for those without, to regularly-scheduled medical appointments. Our Westover team serves on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Questions or would like to get involved?

HOPE ACADEMY MEAL BAGS. Partnering with Hope Academy to provide weekend meal bags for Hope Academy students and Glenwood community members. Details and sign-up here.

SERVE THE COMMUNITY

We also recommend partnering with the following local ministries and organizations in our local community. Each of these organizations are leading the way in coordinating efforts to care the underserved (elderly, socioeconomic poor, refugees/immigrants).

These are the best ways to support these ministries and organizations at this time. We will be adding to, and updating, this list frequently.

Greensboro Urban Ministry's mission is to express the love of God to our neighbors in need by offering food, shelter, and solutions.

Interactive Resource Center provides services that help our Guilford County homeless neighbors reconnect with their own lives and with the community at large.
