At Westover, we believe that discipleship happens in the context of relationships, and our desire is to provide you with information about all the ways you can connect with what's happening around Westover so that you can develop relationships with others. Our aim as we move into the summer season is to offer fun, interactive, and spiritually-growing programming for all ages!

Summer at Westover
Sunday Worship Times & Schedule
9am & 10:30am (1 service only - May 28th & July 2nd)
As we head into summer, we'll be wrapping up our Family series. After that we're jumping into the Old Testament, focusing in on the book of Malachi. We hope you'll join us!
Westover Library Reading Program
Extended Library Hours (starting June 13): Tuesday–Thursday, 10am–2pm
Reading Hour (Story / Crafts / Snacks): Wednesdays, 10:30am - 11:15am
All-Church Summer Events
Summer Nights on the Lawn
June 28 | July 19 | August 2
Summer Nights on the Lawn is a series of gatherings we have planned throughout the summer to invite our church family to connect with neighbors living in and around our church campus. Summer Nights will include lawn games, dessert trucks, and a family-friendly movie on the lawn. Bring your lawn chair (and maybe some bug spray!) and join us for an evening of fun, conversations, and connections.

FaithWorks: Day of Service
August 12
FaithWorks is a special one-day outreach event where we will be sent out as a church family to serve our neighbors with the love of Jesus. FaithWorks will include a variety of projects with participants organized into teams to serve on location with local ministry partners, schools, and other organizations across the Greater Greensboro area. Be on the lookout for registration along with more details later this summer.

Vacation Bible School

Join us this year for a space-themed adventure at VBS! You don't want to miss out on 'Stellar' happenings this summer at Westover. VBS at Westover will run in the evenings from 6:00-8:15pm!

Camp Merriwood (6th and 7th Grade)
July 24-29, 2023
Merriwood is a week long camp in Clemmons, N.C. Students are given the opportunity to dig into God's Word and participate in different skills classes including crafts, archery, high ropes, rock climbing, sports, and more! The cost of the week is $455.

FUSE High School - Thursday Social Club

Thursday Social Club is a fellowship event aimed at getting to know your peers outside of the church - they happen on Thursday afternoons throughout the summer. Pay special attention to which grades should be represented each week.

College Students - Pickleball

We'll be hosting an open gym/pickleball night from 6:30–8 pm in the gym at Westover on the first and third Thursdays throughout the summer. We’ll provide everything you need to play. Never played before? No worries! No experience necessary. We’ll teach you the rules and how to play that night. If pickleball isn’t your thing, that’s totally fine too. We’ll have some snacks and would love for you to just come hang out.

Body-Life Opportunities
Women's Ministry - Crafts & Conversations
May 25 | June 22
Join with other women from 6-8pm in E202 for a time of connection over common interests! Crafts & Conversations is a time for women to bring a craft they’re working on, enjoy some snacks, and engage in conversation with other women.
Women's Ministry - Summer Bible Study
Starting June 14
When You Pray is a 7-week study, beginning June 14, which will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray.

Men's Ministry - FirePower
May 27 (Ladies' Day & Picnic) | August 12 | August 26 (Ladies' Day & Picnic)
Join men of Westover in shooting skeet, trap, pistols and rifles. If you have never shot and want to learn, this is a great opportunity! The focus is safety and safe firearm handling, marksmanship and fellowship in the outdoors. If you're more of a fisherman, there's also a pond on the property full of fish!

Additional info: The sponsors have a variety of handguns, rifles, and shotguns for you to use at no additional cost, but you are also welcome to bring your own! Targets or clays cost $4 for a round of 25, and you can use our shotgun shell ammo at $9 per box of 25.
