Christmas Serving Opportunities....Start Thinking Early October 23, 2019

The Christmas season still feels weeks away, but we have several serving opportunities that really start in November. There are great needs - pray about how you can get involved in the opportunities below this Christmas.

Operation Christmas Child | Boxes are available at the local wall today and the Operation Christmas Child website has lots of ideas for how to pack a box. Westover is also a host site for shoebox collection November 18–25. If you are interested in helping with the collection, contact Shannon Goodwin. On Monday, November 25 from 9:00am–12:00pm in the gym parking lot, we need volunteers to help load up heavy boxes.

Ring The Bell | We partner with the Salvation Army on their annual Ring the Bell project that collects donations at retail centers with their iconic red kettle that benefits local families in need. Westover works at the Battleground Wal-Mart on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays from November 29–December 21. Sign up here to help!

Christmas Tree Outreach | For people who took an ornament from our Outreach Tree—thank you!  All the ornaments were taken. Each ornament has all the information you need to fulfill the requests. Please return gifts by Sunday, December 1 in the Worship Center Lobby (the ornaments say December 2, which is fine too!)
