Christmas Outreach Opportunities! November 01, 2022

It's hard to believe the holidays and the end of 2022 are right around the corner. This Christmas Season provides a number of ways that we can serve our community and show them the love of Christ. Scroll to see the different Christmas outreach opportunities available through Westover Church this year!

Operation Christmas Child

Westover is a longstanding partner of Operation Christmas Child, and we have a variety of ways you can get involved!

  • Pack a shoebox in-person or online. Online boxes are sent to hard-to-reach communities.
  • Sign-up to serve at Westover during National Collection Week– November 14-21 (Mon-Sat, 9am-12pm; Sunday, 9am-4pm; Mon (Nov. 27) 9am-12pm).
  • Serve at one of two processing centers in December (Boone - Dec. 3rd OR Charlotte - Dec. 9th)!
Ring the Bell – Nov. 7 - Dec. 24

Volunteers are valuable assets in The Salvation Army’s efforts to meet the changing needs of our world! Westover Local Missions partners with The Salvation Army to provide bell-ringers at the Battleground WalMart from Nov. 25 - Dec. 24. Click here to help out by signing up to fill a 2-hour shift.

Choose An Ornament Tree

This year, Westover is partnering with 3 organizations through our "Choose an Ornament Tree": Proehlific Park's P.O.W.E.R. of Play Foundation, The Family Room (resources for foster and adoptive families), and The IRC (Interactive Resource Center). Stop by the tree in our main lobby and choose an ornament or select an ornament online by clicking here!

Please return gifts for Proehlific Park's P.O.W.E.R. of Play Foundation to Westover or deliver them directly to Proehlific Park no later than Nov. 27. Gifts for The Family Room and the IRC need to be dropped off at Westover by Dec. 11th

Christmas Caroling

Spread Christmas cheer by caroling with your family or group! Register by December 4 to carol between December 11–25. Resources and details will be sent to you with your sign up. Click here to sign up. For questions, please email Tracey Allred.
