While baptism is a personal step of obedience (Acts 2:38), it is never meant to be private. Baptism is a celebration involving the entire church (Acts 2:41). At Westover, we make a big deal about baptism, inviting other believers to rejoice in and love on those being baptized. When Christians are baptized, they are evidence that His vital mission continues to be boldly advanced ... one follower of Jesus at a time. Westover asks that each believer, as a sign of their obedience and commitment to Christ, be baptized before completing the membership process.
