About the Opportunity:

This position is a function of our Westover Audio Visual (WAV) team. WAV provides key oversight and support for service production & technical needs within the church. This 12-month internship is purposed with expanding your experience in ministry while providing mentoring within the assigned area. This is a full time, paid role and will further prepare participants for service within the local church setting. Experiences will vary in degrees of oversight, responsibility & collaboration with other ministries. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Technical support for Westover Church programming & special events (Operation of AVL controls/equipment; set up/tear down)

• Serve as lead for select nighttime/weekend/special events

• Provide coverage for Sunday morning gatherings as needed

• Maintain current technical systems, install new components

• Promote a spirit of teamwork and constructive environment for working relationships

Requirements:

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; Associates in relevant field preferred

• Proficient at operating AVL systems

• Prior experience in technical event support

• A teachable spirit, ability to receive constructive feedback, eagerness to learn

• Ability to work a fluctuating schedule, nights & weekends as event preparation requires
