About the Opportunity:

Full-Time, 40 hrs/week

Westover has an opening for a full-time Communications Associate. The Communications Team at Westover is vital to equipping our body & furthering our mission of developing mature Christ Followers. Using numerous channels & platforms, you will have the opportunity to expand your experience within a church setting & contribute to that mission.

Primary Responsibilities

Content Creation:

  • Primarily responsible for the creation of Westover’s special video projects.

  • Assists in the creation of graphics (for social media, website, tv slides, etc.), photography & photo editing.

  • Responsible for the creation of Westover monthly blogs.

Administrative:

  • Assists with the development of and changes to westoverchurch.com & app management; collaborates with other ministry areas to ensure consistency with event information & web page updates.

  • Assists with Global & NextGen communication needs as needed.

  • Assists with scheduling churchwide social media posts.

Team Contributions:

  • Meets regularly with direct support (Communications Director).

  • Attends monthly All Staff and Staff Chapel meetings.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 2-year degree with related work experience OR a bachelor’s degree.

  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.).

  • Comprehensive understanding of video production; related experience with Final Cut Pro and/or Premiere Pro.

  • Camera operation experience & graphic design experience preferred.

  • Able to uphold Westover’s purpose and vision and has a growing relationship with the Lord.
