Life Development/Equipping Ministries

“God gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” -Ephesians 4:11-13, NIV

Westover is a place where the priesthood of believers is equipped and unleashed to minister in ways consistent with how God designed them. The persons needed to accomplish kingdom work are available. It’s a matter of identifying them, recruiting them, and empowering them for ministry.

As we grow in our walk with Christ, we change and we begin to understand how God wants each of us to serve. We believe that when our members get something of value, they give something of value; they belong, and, together with their fellow members, can grow in Christ.

We believe that you are embarking upon a journey that will begin to change your life as you discover your spiritual gifts. As we grow in our walk with Christ, we change and it becomes our responsibility to continue to learn more about them, and go forward with joy in using them to bring glory to God and to minister to others.

Renew your growth by taking charge of this change in your life and making it work for you. Resist the temptation to spend precious time reliving the past and getting bogged down in unproductive activities. Through one-on-one counseling or the Career Transition workshop, learn to recognize and identify your greatest strengths and career success factors. Either of these opportunities is available to those in transition. The workshop includes:

  • Creating a resumé
  • Job interviewing skills
  • Networking opportunities
