Abolition! Ministry Abolition! was launched in 2009 by a group of people at Westover who felt a burden to make the congregation aware of the issue of human slavery. According to recent statistics, there are 27 million people worldwide held in bondage by the slave trade with 80% of those being women and children. The slave trade is made up of labor and sex trafficking. It is the hope of Abolition! to raise awareness of this issue and equip our congregation to respond to the evil of human trafficking. Abolition! Meets at Westover Church on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 7pm in the Parlor. Serve on these Abolition! Teams: Prayer, Provision/Resources, Awareness/Education For more information, checkout our blog at abolitionministry.wordpress.com.
