BONAIRE Summer-June/July (Construction) Team Liaison: Gary Lucas This team would work with Brad Swanson and Trans World Radio (TWR). They have a need for a construction team to install sheetrock, finish and paint on the ceilings in one house and a duplex. If time allows they also have general construction/maintenance projects at TWR and the church. The team would also fellowship with the International Bible Church of Bonaire, small group on Tuesday and other activities.
CENTRAL ASIA Late November/Early December Team Leader: Tony Ballew · Team Liaison: Todd Cox Singles sponsored trip, open to the body of Westover (18+). The team will come alongside Westover workers to support their minsitry to Iranian and Afghan refugees. Activities may include teaching English, home visits and meals with refugees, as well as assisting workers with sports camp/picnic as an outreach.
ECUADOR (Family trip) July/Early August Team Liaison: Betsy Shilling A FAMILY trip where you will be working with the Cevallos & Coryells at Hacienda el Refugio in Quito, Ecuador. There will be a mix of construction/maintenance projects done in partnership with a local church for the neighboring communities as well as working with children in an orphanage.
GREECE (Open to the body of Westover / Families, children 13+) June 10-20 Team Leader: Jeff Kubis · Team Liaison: Sharon Batley This team would come alongside Westover supported missionary, Bruce McAtee, in his ministry to refugees in Athens through involvement in two separate events - the ‘Refugee Family Camp’ (June 13-18) and ‘Love Meal’. The Refugee Family Camp is a Sports Camp that’s purpose is to launch the refugee families into a deeper love relationship with Jesus, and service in His name. Along with daily team and personal devotional times, the evening rallies encourage participants with an intense focus on the Bible. The weekly Love Meal (and various special outreaches), brings the love of Christ in tangible ways not only to Greeks, but a myriad of other nationalities represented on the streets of Athens.
GUATEMALA July 7-14 Team Liaison: Sharon Batley Redeemer’s House International builds holistic relationships with at-risk families in remote urban areas like Panajachel, Guatemala. Our vision is to join with God in breaking the chains of poverty and transforming lives through the love of Christ. We provide assistance with nutrition, education, housing, discipleship, and employment. The experience will be highly relational with an emphasis on working directly with families and children with projects that include after school tutoring, home repairs, food & water deliveries, and showing them God values and loves them.
HAITI Construction Team (Fence Building) - May 25 - June 1 - Application Deadline: FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17 Women’s Conference & Children’s Activites - June 15-22 - Application Deadline: FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17 Team Leader: Steve W. Miller · Team Liaison: Sharon Batley The team will continue to work with Pastor Maxeau, with whom we have an established relationship, as well as Haitian orphans. MEXICO (Singles sponsored trip, open to the body of Westover 18+) Easter - April 1-8 - Application Deadline Has Passed Team Leader: Jason Arthurs · Team Liaison: Todd Cox Barnabas Project - Partnering with local missionaries in reaching out to and meeting specific needs of the unreached Mixteco people. Not only will this team be making friendships with Mixtecos, their presence among the people will do great things for the local missionaries’ relationships with Mixteco village leaders and will provide better opportunities for sharing the Gospel and bringing truth into the villages. REPUBLIC OF GEORGIA June 10-23 - Application Deadine: FRIDAY, MARCH 2 Team Leader: Anne Kauffman · Team Liaison: Sharon Batley Team would work with the Duhan’s assisting with construction on a youth camp near the Black Sea, teaching English (ESL) to teens and adults, showing the Jesus film to one of the remaining two unreached people groups and prayer walks in this area. Maximum number of team members 11; about 5 for the construction, 5-6 for teaching English.
SOUTHEAST ASIA July - December, various dates Team Liaison: Judy Everswick Opportunities available in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for an Incarnate Ministry coming alongside and mentoring University students. This would be a time of sharing life and your relationship with Jesus. We would like to have one or two people at a time go and live among the Crossroad students for two or more weeks, between the months of June-December. More information available upon request. SOUTH AFRICA TBD - April or September Team Liaison: Ken Turbyfill This team would work with Pookkattu & Molly Paul ministering to miners and visiting mine hospitals in Johannesburg/Rustenburg. The team would also meet with and minister to elementary through high school children of the community, possibly helping to facilitate a Holiday Bible club for children in 3 locations.
SOUTH ASIA Late September/October, 12-14 days Team Liaison: Betsy Shilling Continuing Westover’s connection with the Rail Kids, this team will come alongside Philip and Gabriela’s ministry to teach, love and share Jesus with the children that call the rail station their home.
