MEXICO - Singles Trip - Leader Development
March 30-April 4 • 5 days • Application due date past The Mixtecs are indigenous inhabitants of southern Mexico with language and culture that pre-date the Spanish conquest. They live in remote mountainous areas of Oaxaca, Mexico, completely cut off from society. The purpose of this trip is to develop team leaders for subsequent trips to minister to the Mixtec people. April 27 - May 17 • Application due date past This team will teach ESL concepts to teachers in the public schools in a remote area of East Asia. You will have the opportunity to experience cultural exchange by providing useful strategies that teachers can use in their classrooms while at the same time sharing values, life experiences, culture and Christ. PERU - Singles
May 22-30 • Application due date past This team will work with The People of Peru Project providing aid to the region of Peru at the headwaters of the Amazon River. Iquitos is a city of 600,000 people plagued by poverty and all that comes with it. This ministry simply gives hope to the people of Peru by providing for basic life needs while loving them with Christ’s love. Opportunities include working among the people in Iquitos doing outreach and possibly some construction. HAITI - Urgent Relief
Dates to be determined • The Haiti Urgent Response Team hopes to conduct 3 trips by the end of 2010. Teams might participate in helping to rebuild an orphanage or church, along with training the Haitian believers with the skills to rebuild, and leaving them with the tools to do so; spending time with the kids in the AIDS and AFCA orphanages; clearing debris from from the Citi Soleil Christian School; setting up an army tent that is currently enroute to Haiti. ECUADOR - Family Trip
July 10-20 • Application due date past This team will serve at a youth camp named El Refugio, and will assist with light construction projects designed to promote discipleship, work alongside an Ecuadorian family, and provide support to Ecuadorian nationals who are serving as missionaries in Ecuador.
