How can you be involved in Global Ministries?
The Lord of the harvest challenges you to be reapers in Greensboro and to the ripe harvest fields worldwide. All members of Westover are encouraged to avail themselves of information regarding Global Ministries. The members of the Global Ministries Team are here to help you. If you have any suggestions, questions or recommendations, please feel free to contact any of the members.
Here are some specific ways you can be involved:
- Serve short term. Those serving in a short term capacity may spend from one week to two years in the field. The opportunities for short term service are unlimited as needs for teachers, medical personnel, accountants, builders, engineers, maintenance personnel, mechanics, cooks and many other abilities.
- Each year Westover sends out multiple short term teams to do various types of outreaches or building projects and much more.
- Visit the Global Ministries Interactive Wall. Learn more about Westover Supported Missionaries as well as opportunities for you to plug in to ministry.
- Print off and read prayer letters from Westover’s global family located at the Global Ministries Wall. Their letters are made available for you to get to know Westover’s global family and to get involved in their lives and ministries.
- Become a missionary writer and establish a personal relationship with a Westover Supported Missionary (contact Rebecca Pittard at 299-7374 x 3020 or rpittard@westoverchurch.com).
- Serve on a Global Ministries Team - contact the Global Ministries Communicator, Tony Ballew at twballew@gmail.com.
- Be creative, think of things you can do to care for Westover’s global family.
