Preparation for Marriage - Starting Out Right

The Starting Out Right class is pre-marriage teaching and mentoring in conjunction with pastoral counseling. This class is made up of engaged couples and married mentors. Couples learn what God intended marriage to be and more about themselves. The Starting Out Right program is required to be married at Westover Church or by a Westover pastor. Couples also schedule counseling times with their pastor.

Classes include these topics in a fun and interactive format:

God’s Design for Marriage
Great Expectations
Communication
Conflict Resolution
Finances
How to Really Love your Mate
Intimacy

Starting Out Right Mentoring Includes:

Lifeline sharing
A Pre-Marriage Inventory
Identification of a couple’s strengths and opportunity areas
Family origins & effect on marriage relationship
