The purpose of the Keenagers Ministry to senior adults is to provide fellowship opportunities where senior adults may be encouraged in spiritual and practical matters. We meet for fellowship, encouragement, education, fun and food!

Keenagers (Senior Adults)

Keenagers are senior adults, retirement age and above. We meet once-a-month for lunch which includes an interesting/entertaining/educational program, as well as to take an occasional trip to a local or distant North Carolina attraction. We also occasionally attend concerts, plays, and programs as a group. Lunch each month is provided by a wonderful kitchen crew and costs $4/pp payable at the door. Program and trip details can be found in the monthly LIFE@Westover newsletter, or on the slatwall in main lobby.

2011 Luncheons

March 16th • Learn about the Triad Flight of Honor - Guest Jeff Sims

April 20th • Presentation by Bonny Harris and the residents of Hannah's Haven. Come and hear about this wonderful ministry of Teen Challenge, serving women who are in recovery from substance abuse. You'll be blessed by the testimonies of spirit and song from these ladies!

May 19th • All aboard for our trip to the American Music Jubilee/Rudy Theatre - a show with loads of comedy, music, and FUN. We'll also visit the Ava Gardner Museum which houses an extensive collection of memorabilia from this famous NC born actress.

June 15th • Elizabeth Sapp with Greensboro Senior Center will inform us of the numerous activities/trips/exercise classes available to Senior Adults in our area through the Senior Center and other Greensboro Parks and Recreation venues.

July 21 • Evening meal and musical program

August 17th • Covered Dish, TBD

September 21st • The eyes have it! Medical advice not to miss from our own Dr. Terry Odom, Opthalmologist.

October 19th • Autumn trip to the Uwharrie Mountains, NC Aviation Museum and Hall of Fame (Asheboro), and of course an orchard stop!

November 9th • Visits from our missionaries and candidates during Westover's Global Missions Celebration

December 7th • Christmas Program
