Accused: Names Jesus Was Called

Join us for this special Good Friday Worship Service focusing on the names Jesus was called on his journey to the cross, including Sinner, Law Breaker, and Blasphemer.  Jesus didn't deserve these titles, rather we deserve them; we have earned them.

The Old Testament says that, "He has bourne our griefs and carried our sorrows," (Isaiah 53:4).  The New Testament says that Jesus, "Bore our sins in his body on the tree that we might die to sin and live to righteousness," (1 Peter 2:24).  We earned the shame, but Christ paid for it.  He earned the righteousness, but gives it to us in a gracious trade.
